Too much Crime, Taxes and Political Idiots. - 7/26/2019
I've lived in this City for 8 years and feel the Government parts of it leave a lot to be desired. Taxes are out of control, Assessment dept has proposed more than 30% increases on my property each year, the county it's in, Jackson CO is worse than the City, there are area's, mostly on the KC border that crime is out of control, taxes keep increasing yet streets see very little repair. Business seem to come and go . The east side of Independence is growing and has not yet gotten the Crime that is domenent in the Western Part of the city more impowered area has not move to the Eastern side yet but just a matter of time before they to mess that up with their out of control stealing, destroying and shootings.
