The further north you go in Maine - the further back you step in time. Many of Maine's little villages are still thriving even with the loss of multiple manufacturing jobs. "Real" Maine people know how to "make do" with little complaint. Most are willing to lend their experience to the innocent newcomers from "away". Maine is a feeling of coming home.
