Akron is a nice city trying to recover from the loss of many manufacturing jobs.
The weather tends to be extreme bitter cold with several feet of snow each winter and hot and humid in the summer. It is not very comfortable for people with arthritis or joint replacement. Crime rate is low, but so is job growth. The downtown area is being renovated and becoming a popular night spot with plenty of retaurants and entertainment.
