Be realistic!!!

Detroit is an old, dingy, ultra-high crime city. Nobody has any right saying that Detroit is a nice place. See the comment "Don't move to Detroit," it gives a sattiracal, but realistic potrayal of Detroit, at least East and Central Detroit. Listen to the people who grew up there, not the creative class, happy-go-lucky people living in their downtown lofts. The fact is, if you walk through the worst part of any city in America, chances are, nothing will happen. Its that in just certain areas its much more likely, Detroit is one of those. One good thing about Detroit, you can easily tell the really bad neighborhoods just by looking at them, signaled by the collapsing, half burnt down houses and entire streets of abandoned buildings and houses (literally).
