I work in emergency services in Pittsburgh, so I know the City inside and out, and can get anyone looking to relocate statistics on any of our neighborhoods if you need.
As for some common questions: We have no earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes or major pollution here. The schools depend on your neighborhood, but most are good and the colleges and hospitals here are out of this world - you will be hard-pressed to find better medical care anywhere. Pittsburgh is also home to one of the WORLD's premier children's hospitals; kids and adults from royal families in other countries travel here for medical treatment.
The crime rate is very good, especially for an area this size - the Pittsburgh Metro area has a residential population of 2.7 million people. I have found that the people here are some of the friendliest around, as well. We also have a new mayor who really seems to be interested in the welfare of the City, which is a huge benefit.
