Syracuse is a great place to live, the cost of living is low and the people here are very down to earth. You can be in many major metro areas in under a 5 hour drive, including Boston, NY, Philly, Montreal, Baltimore, and Pittsburgh. Syracuse is also within a one hour drive to the Adirondack State Park (one of the biggest, classiest parks in the country) The downtown is on the rebound, the city has several colleges and universities and real estate is down right cheap. I'm amazed that more people don't celebrate all that Syracuse has to offer. I'm not even from here.
