I've lived in Tucson for a little over a year, having lived in WI and FL before. I've found that the crime, while it hasn't touched me, is rampant. Since we are 2 hours from the Mexican border that certainly affects things, lots of murders.....
People here are very distrusting of outsiders for the most part. Don't bring your checkbook, bring your credit card!
The public transportation doesn't go all over the city, so if you rely on the bus don't move here! It'll be hard to keep a job...
