Best weather is in the fall and winter when it's amazing. Summer is hot, but that's what AC is for.
The housing is relatively cheap compared to most cities.
The surrounding area is beautiful, and it's close enough to the ocean. Mexico is a great place to visit and discover.
The Hispanic culture here enriches the area. The food is great. Check out Poca Cosa when you visit.
There are many festivals and art events here. We have the All Souls Parade!
Now is a good time to buy a house here as the market has stabalized after a surge last year.
Tucson is the most progressive city in Arizona. Lots of alternative people here trying new sustainable home techniques. Being gay here is not a problem. It's safe to walk the streets at night in most places. The parks are very well used and open late filled with people.
If you like warm dry weather, and want to escape the expense and fast pace of the city, this is the place.
