I have to say that Tucson is at the top of the list when it comes to "love it or hate it" cities in the united states. Many people love the weather, landscape, outdoors....and that's great. But there's still nothing to do. Though its 1 hour from the mexican border, its a border town and contains everything that comes with being a mexican border town. Oro Valley's nice, but can be slightly snobby. The same goes for many of the northern parts, but overall, people are friendly. I was bored to tears after about 3 years and I really had enough of the local politics which restricted new businesses from coming in; hence, very few high paying postions unless you build missles. Please do some MAJOR research of Tucson economy before you move here. I didn't hate it, but i also didn't love it either. All in all, i enjoyed the golf weather and ULTRA laid back atmosphere, but I'm happy to say that I did the native tucsonian's a favor by leaving Tucson. (natives of the city always say, "if you don't like it, get out!)
