Review of Tucson, Arizona

response to john's crime inquiry
Star Rating - 1/28/2006
i believe that the crime rate is mostly due to property crime. tucson does not have a "violent" crime problem. however, there is often a problem with cars getting broken into, construction sites getting looted with supplies being stolen, and other miscellaneous "small" crimes. being so close to the border, the issue with the violent crime mostly comes into play with people involved in illegal activity regarding smuggling of drugs and/or people from mexico. hope that sheds some light on things. i've lived in tucson now for three years and call it home and feel totally safe. i absolutely love it here, but i'd recommend getting a place with a garage for your car(s).
