We have visited Tucson several times, & always wanted to relocate here. Now that we are here, I am disappointed. Yes, summers are hot, but tolerable. The housing situation has gotten ridiculous over the last couple of years. All of the Californians' moving here have really increased the prices for housing. The worst is the catalina foothills, looking at the people here you would have thought you were in California. Education is not the greatest here. Supposedly the foothills is the best, in the Tucson area. But it is still not great if you compare it to other states.
