why call the police?

I guess my only problem with Tucson is the crime rate and the lack of police response. I moved from Massachusetts where while the land mass is equally as populated- the districts are smaller and police presence is much more known. Three- yes THREE- nights in a row cars parked in our driveway were broken into and robbed and the police seemed uninterested in our problem and no officer ever came to help us- little scarry. other than that- how can you beat these warm winters?!?
