We bought a home here in Menifee in 1991, back when homes were still affordable. Median home price now In Menifee is $410,000. I agree is a wonderful and safe community. Our 2 sons growing up here went to excellent schools. It’s hot in the summer and California electric rates are among the highest in the nation. We set our thermostat at 80 in the summer to keep our electric bill under $300. Property taxes are very high. Keep in mind when looking at Zillow and other home Selling sites that the property taxes stated are for the current home owner. That will be revised upward for the new owner and based on the sell price. That anomaly is due to Prop 13. As much as we’ve loved living here for almost the last 30 years we can hardly wait to move out. Menifee a nice city but still in California

Well, then, you just called me "mentally unstable". Menifee is as hot as Hades and in my opinion you shouldn't live here unless you have a pool. Have lived here since 2004. Traffic is absolutely horrendous. The hospitals should be high quality but their ratings aren't very good. There are a lot of terrible, aggressive drivers in the area and not enough CHP to crack down on them. There are many, many, extremely loud cars and motorcycles in the area as well, and they are never cited and the number of them keeps growing. There is a lot of petty theft as well; you had better not leave your car unlocked or thieves will go through it and steal. Oh, and grocery stores have increased their prices to a ridiculous amount based on the huge number of new tract homes. It is overbuilt and badly planned.

This place is a joke we have a abandoned smart and final building took 10 years to build the movie theater and now it’s a half a building standing there also other buildings standing around there not being worked on. You have lake Elsinore and helmet near which is drugged crack towns that come to menifee to steal or do there dirt . The school district had plenty of time to set up for distant learning but were no ready at all then they want people to sign a waiver for kids to return so pretty much at your own risk The middle school and high school will turn in to the Los Angeles schools with the ghetto wannabe gangs and graffiti the mayor is bs seen him taking photos of himself as if he is making a difference but is only there to take a photo for Facebook then he’s gone as if he did hard work. It get over 100 degrees here menifee turning into a crap city with more crimes .
