Review of Winchester, Tennessee

It isn't bad here
Star Rating - 6/20/2007
Personally, I like it here in Winchester. Winchester and Franklin County has Tim's Ford Lake, The Elk River, a drive-in with three screens, car racing, dirt bike races, an indoor/outdoor pool. There are plenty of things to do here. If this area is too small, larger cities are only 30 to 60 minutes away. It can get a little too warm in the summer, but the winters are very mild. Autumn is pleasant and the springs are beautiful. Sewanee and the University of the South is very close. MTSU in Murfressboro is an hour away. There are all kinds of festivals all year long. Bonnaroo is in Manchester which is only 30 minutes from here. Riverbend in Chattanooga and The CMA festival in Nashville. There is a nice mix of people who are very friendly. I can't say enough nice stuff about Franklin County and Winchester. Winchester is growing all the time. Winchester is small and out of the way but I think it is worth looking into. Compared to where I used to live, Harriman,Tn in Roane County, this place is close to perfect.
