David, absolutely correct. A person MUST earn a minimum of $35/hr to live just barely above poverty in Littleton/Denver metro area. Rents sky hi and salaries not keeping up with living expenses, at all. The 25 - 40yr olds live packed together in the city center urban ghetto, thinking they are really cool, beautiful and sexy. They are just poor with a dim future. Littleton, just like Los Angels, is opening free soup kitchens and free bedding. This always attracts and supports a population of riff-raff that brings down the civility of a city. I was in CA for years saw this trend evolve as bleeding heart liberals attracted more and more hungry riff-raff. That is, I was in Los Angeles metro to be specific, 25 years ago and saw the riff-raff & soup kitchens & bedding places open enmass. Now LA & San Francsico are third world countries, full of disease from the medieval time period, and crime, that now makes the city un-usable by the citizens who pay taxes to keep it going. So taxpayers, like I was, pay and pay but they can NOT use the parks, the walkways at night, the hiking/biking trails. BUT they must pay taxes for them. And so I see the same trend happening in Littleton. De ja vu. This is a downward trend for a city and real estate-equity and safety and civility. Bleeding liberal hearts allegedly LOVE to free feed and keep street people, until this runs them out of their homes because street people turn a city into a poop hole. Be aware that your taxes MUST increase to feed and house all the riff-raff. Be warned. Also note, the city immediately north of Littleton, called Englewood, is even worse. Englewood is 10 years ahead of Littleton with their bleeding hearts and therefore crime is bad in Englewood, CO.
