Camden is a Great Community

I logged on to this site to see if I could find out more about Camden for a badge that my Girl Scout troop is working on. I was disappointed to see that there was only one review. It was from an individual that has only been here once and he was here by mistake. He had been pulled over for a traffic violation. Speeding is speeding. One mph or twenty over. People with values wouldn't steal a pack of gum any more than they would steal a television. So why are the traffice laws disreguarded in such a manner?
It was unfortunate that he had a bad experience because this is a great place to live. Our police officers are very particular about the speed limits. Perhaps the fact that we have large Amish and Menonite communities that regularly drive thru town in horse and buggies. Or maybe because we have a school on almost every major road thru town. This is a town where people still let their children walk to school. It is a safe place to live and we would like to keep it that way.
Where else can you walk down the street and find I hybrid vehicle following a horse and buggy? This small town has great history. Beautiful old houses, beautiful new houses, and everything in between. The owners of the small grocery store in town will still help you carry your bags to you car and the bank employees know you by first name.
He should give it another chance and others should come just to enjoy it. I suggest coming on the first saturday in August. That is when the Wyoming Peach Festival goes on and you will get a little taste of everything our very diverse small town has to offer.
By the way. I forgot to mention that we share a post office and zip code with the Town of Wyoming. Quaint!
