Review of Centerville, Tennessee

All in what you're looking for
Star Rating - 10/3/2016
We moved here 4 years ago from North MS. My husband passed and I was looking for a town with small, safe schools and safety. Found it. You can buy a lot of house for very little. Clean water, kayaking fishing some community event going on regularly. My daughter adjusted quickly and made friends easy in her 500 kid school. If you're looking for nightlife, coffee houses, etc. keep looking. You will have to work out of town to get a job. Very little industry and the town square is half empty. But we can go to the drive_in public pool, country cooking restaurants, some music activities. If you're looking to slow down when you finish your 1 hour commute to nashville (unless you get behind a tractor). There is some poverty, especially rural. I've found the people to be friendly. If you're looking for a hip place, keep looking. If you want laid back, you"ll like it. You can find beautiful victorians in town for 140K and cottages around 65K. Great for outdoorsman. Very beautiful on the western Highland Rim. If you don't mind the drive to work, you can get a home for 30% of Nashville costs.
