This city is so low on the totem pole, it's not even funny. Median household income is only $32K (single female income is just over $17K).
Their water treatment is sub-par, but costs more than other cities with better treatment.
This place has racists running around, unchecked and nobody seems to care. There is only 1% of African-Americans living here (and I can completely understand why that percentage is so low). Honestly, I wouldn't suggest any person of color to live here seeing how they're treated daily.
The streets are horrendous. I voted in the last election to put an extra tax on the taxpayers' backs just so the city would fix the streets. But come to find out, their version of "fixing" is overfilling potholes. So now instead of sinking into the street, it's like you're driving off road. The streets are in dire need of being fully replaced, but the city doesn't want to do it the right way.
This city's main focus is on their waterpark. It is sucking up all of the funding that should go to schools, the roads, or the library. Unfortunately the elected officials are putting all of their eggs in one basket, and calling it a day.
The city taxes are higher than surrounding cities, but I cannot figure out why, or how, considering this city is so disgusting. Trash all over the place. Druggies running around begging for change, houses being burglarized, cars being broken into. Actually, our insurance went up since we moved here because it's such a bad area.
I definitely do not recommend living in this city, unless you're a racist, or a drug addict. Normal people should definitely stay away from this area. You'll get swept away with the rest of the white trash around here. You've been warned
