Review of Wahpeton, North Dakota

xenophobic North Dakota
Star Rating - 4/16/2013
After living in eastern North Dakota for over thirty years, and being in good standing, as per credit, honesty, law abiding, and in general, a good citizen. Still, it is hard to get anyone to speak to me unless I am handing them money. Even the churches are this way. I am retired from a University position now, and if the state of N.D. thinks they will benefit from one dime of my retirement money, they are sadly mistaken.
This state is so inbred, and xenophobic of anyone who is not inbred into their family, they have no idea that there is a whole big world outside this crumbling state. And for poor senior citizens. They want them to starve and just be gone after working and paying taxes for a lifetime. Most seniors women have little to live on after their husbands die. The state of North Dakota gives them a whopping ten dollars in food stamp benefits, while giving free medical, food stamps, housing, and living allowance to any never do well drifter who comes to town. This state is not somewhere anyone other than bums would wish to live. I am leaving. I will not spend one dime of my retirement here.
