High Electric/Utility Bills

Lampasas Texas combines electric, water, sewer, and trash in one bill. The electric alone for a 1300 sq ft house with 1 person living in it is $282.00 a month. The bill was the same for 2 months in a row. The thermostat is kept at 70 during winter. The City of Lampasas has the contract for utilities. They are not set up for any late payments beyond 12 days. Property taxes are high. I was told by an employee that their rate is comparable to the surrounding areas. I am checking on that now.
