Carlsbad is a horrible city. It really epitomizes the worst of Kalifornia. Superficial, rude people, traffic is horrific. Angry White drivers with road rage everywhere 24 / 7. Carlsbad really sucks there is no redeeming quality. There is no character to the city. C or D beaches compared to Orange County or LA. Other than that, miles and miles of strip malls and industrial business parks filled with angry, rude, drivers going and leaving 24/7. That's Carlsbad.

We have lived here for years and don't plan on ever leaving. The lagoons and beaches are beautiful, great restaurants and people, zero crime, etc. Did I mention the weather, people complain when its rarely over 70 or under 60 degrees. San Diego county, in general, is the most desired place in the U.S. for good reason.

I disagree about everything except the drivers. I moved here 5 years ago from L.A. and was shocked to see how people drive ---running red lights and stop signs is the norm. I see it multiple times per day. Other than that, Carlsbad is a great place to live. And as far as their rating about air quality, I don't know where that came from. I get cool ocean breezes where I live. The air is very clean.

Most of the angry drivers are visiting tourists from other areas of California, like Bakersfield.
