Review of Toledo, Ohio

High Quality of Life
Star Rating - 3/20/2017
I have lived in Toledo, Ohio for about 7 years now. Toledo has one of the highest qualities of life I have experienced. Here are some highlights I enjoy:

-Revitalized Downtown
-#1 Art Museum in Ohio
-Amazing Metroparks
-Easy Commute
-Affordable Housing
-Farmers Markets
-#2 Zoo in the Country

Pro Tip: My favorite neighborhood in Toledo is the Warehouse District. The Warehouse District is home to 5/3rd field, Hensville, The Farmers Market, 40+ bars and restaurants, and 2000+ residents. It is very safe and walkable.

sorry but you sound like one of those Ohio cheerleaders we haven't lived or been too many other places. Here's my take on Toledo. Dead downtown with a bunch of worn-out warehousing. A new ball field and a concert arena does not make a downtown great when there's hardly anybody there except for those two things if an event is happening. A respectable small art Museum. After you've been there a dozen times you'll get sick of it fast. So so metroparks nothing exciting no great hiking all them too close to the road and you can hear a traffic noise in each one.. good luck enjoying them because of the crappy awful weather 7 months per year. Easy commute for sure.. there's not a lot of traffic normally that's because lots of people left this town and no one wants to live here which is why housing is so inexpensive. Farmers markets are good but so are they in other parts of the country. The Toledo zoo is wonderful but it's not enough to keep adults amused for more than a few times a year if it that. Not trying to be an a-hole or to be harsh but Ohio sucks in general and Toledo sucks harder except for Cleveland maybe. Toledo is the illegitimate child of Detroit and Cleveland. It is filled with racist small-minded people with nothing to do except sit around in restaurants 7 months out of the year when you can't get outside, eating and getting fat, smoking and dying of boredom...they actually like it that way.. It's a dismal awful place to live. Yes you can buy a nice house and make it your refuge but if you stay here believe me you will regret it one day. It is hard to get out of this area once it sinks its talons into you. We are finally getting out and it has been a monumental struggle! My advice run the hell away and don't look back.
