Review of Fallon, Nevada

Community for LDS, military, and meth users only
Star Rating - 3/16/2021
The town is not scenic and looks pretty run-down, lots of junky metal buildings. There are a lot of drug and alcohol abusers and crime. The restaurants are not very good, serve the same things, and the better ones are only open for breakfast and lunch. There is no good medical and dental, so you have to drive to Reno. Almost everyone under a certain age would rather be on public assistance and Medicaid than work. Lately there is a lot of graffiti and homeless camps. There is no clothes shopping unless you like Walmart or Big 5. Fallon is a cult-run town and the only people who really like it are LDS or on meth or with the military. There is no sense of community and no welcoming atmosphere to people not in one of those groups, which all keep to themselves. It’s definitely the weirdest (in a bad way) place I have ever lived. Lots of people can’t wait to leave. I regretted the move within 6 months of arrival.
