Corvallis is a college town

Corvallis has the state's second-largest public university, Oregon State. It is definitely a college town, but not in the "Girls Gone Wild" sort of way... for better or worse.

I'm from Boise and am interested in Corvallis. Though I was really hoping to get away from the 'college town' that is Boise. While Boise is large, the BSU fans drive me insane, especially when it is football season as I am pretty anti sports. Is Corvallis that bad?
