Life in Albuquerque

My wife and I lived in Albuquerque for seven years, leaving in June 2017.
Overall Albuquerque is not a bad place to live, just not a good one.
Truthfully it is beautiful with lots of sun and outdoor activity opportunity.
The culture is kinda melting pot and non status quo in a nutshell.
The pace of life is very slow. Certainly not crowded or traffic troubled.
Fairly affordable. Now for the downside, and be prepared.
A huge amount of crime with criminals that do not serve their time,
if you doubt this look it up.There are not 3 cities in America with higher
per capita crime rates, drug addiction, lack of enough policing for its size,
or criminal cases being dismissed. Ask anyone who lives there they know.
Some pretend otherwise, they don't watch the news either.
Your chances of being a victim of some sort of crime is so high there,
it is bottom of the barrel. Not a good family city. Many hard working
people there, but many who are on the take. Just stating a fact. Yeah it is
sad. I hope they clean up Albuquerque and New Mexico in general.
No jobs really to speak of. Businesses really don't go there, not enough
people on the working, paying, or overachieving end of things.Sad.
We made several friends there though. First on all the bad lists, last
on all the good lists a-z 1-10 year round. Don't believe otherwise.
It is overall a poorly ran state and needs to change big time.
Vacation there maybe, live there no thanks. I hope this is useful.
