Good Place to Live

Cody is a wonderful place to live, especially if you enjoy outdoor activities. The cost of living is lower than many places with similar offerings--just check Sperling's information. The weather is great year-round, but it gets windy which is something to deal with, especially in the middle of winter when it's already cold. The shopping is adequate for a town of this size and the medical community is awesome, especially our regional hospital. If you can't find what you need here, the drive to Billings is not bad. The only negative can be some of the 'old-timers' attitudes about the changes they see and they tend to blame newcomers for just about all their problems. To be fair, these types are only a small number and most Codyites are really nice and welcoming. It's a great place to raise kids and the schools are good. Cody always has something going on so your level of involvement in the community is up to you---you won't be bored unless you choose to be! The suggestion to check job availability in the region is a good one, but that would be wise for any place you'd move to in this time of difficult economics. If Cody has captivated you, then don't be afraid to go for it!
