I lived in denver for three years. It was tolerable compared to Houston but all the mass immigration from other states has created a horrible place to live. Pollution is rampant, traffic to anything was intolerable (i-70 or i-285 are your only ways out to nature). Angry ass stupid drivers from moron cities like houston have ruined the front range. I grew up in CO but Texans and Californians ruined the state. They are the virus that spreads across this country. CO is now nothing more than than the LA block with mountains. And the fu$%ing mexicans! Diarrhea of the human race multiplied so fast while we lived in denver.

We moved to the suburbs a little over 2 years ago - League City. I absolutely hate this metro area. We are stuck right now. Anyone thinking of moving here - think again. taxes are crazy (so your "affordable" house is really not so affordable, traffic sucks, there is nothing but strip malls and chains, weather sucks (except maybe late march early april), people defined by material things, there is no personality to anywhere here, it is ugly - I have no earthly idea why so many have chosen to live here. We came here to be closer to some family and even that is not worth it. We want to move away as fast as possible... one pro: schools are pretty good where we are. but even that is not enough to stay. there are good schools in every state

I lived in Houston back in the late 90s. I hated this city. It's not a civilized city. It's really a city for people looking for work, definitely not for beauty, or a scenic city. It's the arm pit of Texas. Try a smaller city, look North, perhaps far northern Texas, or even better, check Denver, Colorado. It's a boom town, with lots of opportunities. Much nicer climate too. Good Luck.
