Troutdale is a great place to live if you have to work in or near Portland. It is small with friendly people and the crime rate isn't as bad as other places close in. You do get the East Winds that come down the Columbia River (which can go up to 60 mph) but they keep the city clean. Multnomah County (which is the county Troutdale is in) is very expensive to live in and because of that we are looking to relocate after we retire.
