Review of Denver, Colorado

If you like phony people, move to Denver!
Star Rating - 5/26/2019
I have lived here 20 years and overall the only best thing I can say about it is the weather is fairly decent.

The people however, ha! Another story! The entire metro area is disjointed, and there is little, if any, sense of community. Californians are moving here in DROVES, buying up $600k homes CASH driving up real estate so many can no longer afford a home. They also bring their RUDENESS!

There is a LOT of "keeping up with the Joneses" and a lot of stuck up pretentious people. Or maybe they are just socially retarded. Lol. I haven't figured that out yet.

People are obsessed with their HOUSES!! House House House is all they seem to care about! They keep moving from one area to another, one ugly subdivision to another to get a BIGGER house... and are never happy!!!

I have been trying to meet less MATERIALISTIC people but I have to admit it's tough!! My best friends live in other areas of the country and are not so pretentious or try to "impress people."

There are mass shootings here that should scare anyone !! but nothing is done! Columbine, the Aurora theater shooting,.several others. Terrible dangerous drivers!

Don't know what's up with this city but I don't plan on retiring here. It's just a BAD KARMA city.

Nasty comments from overly sensitive natives not solicited!

It has changed and yes the CA people along with all the newbies from everywhere else...Illinois, Texas, Georgia among others has made not the best of impacts. I moved here 21 years ago and it hadn't been 'found' yet, which is what I loved. You could drive places without being in traffic for hours. Now it's turning into LA. On the weekends in the winter you could leave at 6:30 AM, make it to Vail for 8:00, grab a cup of coffee, get on the lift and you were up having fun and then back in the car at 2:30 to make it home by 4:00 to get a mountain bike ride or run in because it was so nice and sunny back in the city. Now...you sit in traffic all day, 7 hrs one way with traffic!! Insanity... I like the old days of Denver.

We are Californians and we are hungry. We will continue to gobble up everything in our path until everything is destroyed. You can't blame us. Dumb people are buying up our $1.3 million shacks and we are cashing out and coming to your town next. Just look at what we've done to Portland Reno Boise Salt Lake City Phoenix Austin and even to you Denver. But like I say we're hungry, and always in search of our next meal. Please tell us where the next cool place is. We'd like to know. We are an equal opportunity destroyer and yes we are RUDE. Hide your real estate. We're coming for you next!
