This is impossible unless you remodeled your home into a mansion! We have prop 13 which means that our homes can't be reassessed for more than 2% a year. The tax rate is 1% of the home,land & improvements value. We do get small special levies added like school bonds but we vote on them & they need 2/3 of the majority to pass. My tax bill on a 600k house is $3000/yr it was $1650/yr in 1986!
