Review of Bayville, New York

Bayville is a hidden gem on Long Island
Star Rating - 9/14/2006
Bayville is a fantastic small, family oriented village on the North Shore of Long Island. It has the character of a New England fishing village. Surrounded by water on 2 sides, you are never far from a beach, as there are 5 in town. Children still ride their bikes to the ice cream store. People know each other and look out for each other. I have been here only 5 years, but the village is filled with families who have been here for generations. They say that once you come to Bayville, you never want to leave.

If there is a negative, it is that the housing prices are high, as they are all over the New York region. Anything that is within commuting distance to Manhattan, as Bayville is, will be higher than the national average. But if you have a fairly good NY job, it is a wonderful place to live, especially if you have a family. This place has a very low crime rate and good schools, too.
