The above is an old disgruntled person. Twiggs is long gone. The crime rate is VERY low. This was written by someone that doesn't want visitors or new people to look at the houses for sale. It's a nice place to live.

Every lot in good standing is allowed to vote. Because lot owners fail to vote, a quorum of votes can serve as a representative sample of the total. In HSV there are twice as many unimproved lots as there are improved lots. The majority of unimproved lots are corporate owned. The board forgave these unimproved lots their accumulated debts if going forward they would resume paying assessments. Lots owned by the POA have their votes match the quorum sample. So the vote was 2 to 1 against the improved lots. As of Oct 2017 all legal appeals regarding this have failed. The annual audits lead me to believe that HSV needs to take advantage of Troon's management services, not just its marketing services. As it is, HSV has Troon hog-tied while the influx is only allowed to amplify the ongoing golf and golf-related community-resource losses.

I live in HSV. It is now 2020. There is very little crime, great amenities, friendly people and low cost of living. With 11 lakes and 9 golf courses, a pickleball court, hiking trails, swimming pool, there is no lack of things to do. Great scenery and wildlife. Come on over for a visit and discover Hot Springs Village yourself.

This person is spot on. A wonderful place with so much to do. Unfortunately, it’s has more than its share of cheap, complaining, disgruntled, nasty people living here. The expression”People make the difference” fits HSV perfectly. That is the reason to not move here.
