Cinci's Best Kept Secret!
Star Rating - 3/26/2007
Bethel is one of Cincinnati's best kept secrets. By travelling the back roads, I can commute to downtown in 35-40 minutes, which is about the amount of time it will take anyone to commute from one of Cinci's neighboring suburbs! Plus I have the added convenience of missing the rush hour traffic due to taking the country roads. I'm only on 471 for 10 minutes.
The countryside in Bethel is beautiful. There are older country type homes as well as modern newer construction. Land is a steal compared to land prices north of Cincinnati. The town itself offers some nice fast food restaurants, a small grocery store, a feed and tack store (for those of us horse people) and has a nice small-town atmosphere. We're able to have the country living and still have the conveniences offered by being near stores and restaurants but without the high price. The neighbors on my street welcomed my family immediately and are great people. My only gripe about the area is the clay soil, which tends to hold too much water and create a lot of mushy ground and standing water during heavy rains. Other than that though, we've really enjoyed being able to call Bethel home.
