Dunedin is a great place for people who want their town to provide a lot of entertainment. There's something going on almost every single weekend if not every weekend. Be prepared to pay and pay and pay. Dunedin is the only small city (town) around that charges for parking. It has a charming downtown but the shops aren't cheap. I small spice jar is $14 plus parking and shrimp from the fish market is $19 a lb plus parking. The seasonal farmer's market is wonderful and you can get eggs for $6 a dozen. There are a few great little spots so it's not all bad. The weather is warm pretty much year round and maybe a little hot in the summer but they have AC everywhere. Insurance is outlandishly expensive compared to most of the country and property taxes seem about the same as what I had in the north. It's a dog friendly town and you can bring your dog to just about every event. There are some areas that I'm not sure I'd feel safe alone at night and if you check the sexual offender's app, you'd find it has more than you might like. It was double the number of both my kids' locations put together. If you plan on moving anywhere, do your homework and make sure you can live with the cons as well as the pros.
