Portland still has the small town feel and makes you feel like you're in a community. The worst problem is so many people are moving here.
Great food scene for those that like to try different cuisines. There are food truck style vendors like Austin Texas all through the city.

Portland has been so trashed the last 5 years that it has lost all of its appeal. People coming here due to cheaper housing, think nothing about gridlock traffic, car thefts, opioids, homeless people everywhere-- many are druggies, but some due to rising housing costs. Time to move!

@Homer - I don't know -how- you could claim that Portland has cheap housing. Wow. Apparently, you don't actually live there. You certainly don't rent in Portland, OR! Were you thinking Portland, Maine or something???
