The humidity in the summer is very high we have alot of 90 degrees ddays that feel like 100 degrees

I retired here in Athens from Va Beach. The economy is booming so much so that housing costs are skyrocketing. It is Hot and Humid in the summer time. Cost of living is on the rise since north alabama has the greatest growth of all AL counties. Yes tornadoes are a promenant feature of this area. Just purchased an above ground shelter for when we need it. After the tornadoes outbreak of 2011 it seems to have quieted down somewhat. Altho tornadoe season is cyclic. They will eventually return to the area where I am.

The Humidity in Athens is typicle for this area and humidity is high. I used to live inVa Beach where we would gey a cool breeze off the ocean inthe summer. Va Beach summer weather is nicer. We are in tornado alley. F5 2 miles from the house 27 April 2011
