Silverton is full of nice people. It is a small farming town where most people live on generational farms. If you like to grow a garden, love a close knit community and can take the rain, this may be the place for you. The rain season is very long and very grey. I actually bought one of those blue lights for seasonal depression. It is not working and we are looking to move back to the sunshine! Other than that Silverton is very nice.
