Avoid this nightmare of a town

Taxes are insanely high considering there is nothing here. No improvements are ever made. The local business owners keep out new business that could bring in jobs and money, which must be desperately needed since they raise taxes every year. There was a vote on whether to sell beer in convenience stores, which was strongly opposed by the churches, those who operate little beer stores outside town, and the couple who owns both bars in Canadian, a town referred to as "wholly dry" by those who opposed the proposition. The schools are a disaster and unless you can claim several generations here, don't expect your children to be treated decently or to have any ill treatment of them to be addressed. Last names are everything here. Greed, hypocrisy and corruption are the name of the game in Canadian.
