Review of Lowell, Oregon

This is truly paradise
Star Rating - 6/6/2014
I lived in Lowell, Oregon for 19 years. It is one of the most beautiful valleys. Clean air and water. Dexter Lake has The Boat Drag Racing several times a year right across the street. The trees and follage are lush and green. The skies have the most wonderful double rainbows, dramatic sunrises and sun sets. The schools are within a mile of most homes. Its like stepping back in time where community involvement, friendly neighbors, good values, country living, great housing values, freedom to enjoy life in your own yard, with great friends and a family sense about the town. It was a great chapter in my life to live there.
The covered bridge and small town flavor give a feeling of New England. The colors in the fall are breath taking. Eugene and Springfield offer all the services necessary for large shopping and repairs.
The volunteer fire department is very good. There is a local dentist, grocery, gas stations and post office. A couple of restarants are close in the center of town. This is a good place to raise your family. The US Army Corps of Engineers are located at Lookout Point Dam. Parks and Recreation and the Forest Service are close to town as well. Good people live and work in Lowell. I loved it there.
