Where to go?

I currently live in Sacramento, California for about 5 months and returning to batavia, New York in 5 more months. My boyfriend and I are going to get a place together but where to go when the world... or the United States is your oyster. He has a degree from Penn State in architectual engineering and I want to go back to school to get my masters in Social Work. Where to go?!
