Review of Germantown, Wisconsin

Education
Star Rating - 8/8/2009
My children received an outstanding education from the Germantown School District. The district is currently challenged by space limitations and financial constraints as a result largely of the states flawed funding mechanism and the refusal of the community to support additional capital expenditures. Test scores are traditionally strong, families are active and supportive. Unfortunately the school system has no performance space or pool, which is an embarrassing oversight in my mind. I struggle with Germantown's lack of a sense of "community" which I think results in the inability to mobilize support for any public infrastructure dedicated to improving quality of life. Still, I have been very pleased with my life here and the safe, friendly community has been a great place to raise a family.
