We love this Island it is connected by a bridge at the north end and is easy access from the north end of the island. That is where you want to live on the north end of the island.It's over 26 miles to the bridge from the south end of the island. The weather for 4 months a year is beautiful then comes the Gloom!! 8 months of low hanging clouds and rain without much sun. Last year I had 16" of snow in my front yard so it can get cold also. Has been down to 19 degrees since we have been here 2000. I was born and raised in Western Washington and still can't stand the weather.
