Just moved here as “snowbirds” after 3 years of pre-retirement research into where we wanted to be. We considered all the southwestern states then visited a dozen or more communities in Arizona. Looked at homes, joined tennis clinics within the communities, talked to locals, did the tours. Rio Verde looked like the perfect place and it’s proven to be exactly that. Gorgeous Mountain View’s, fantastic hiking, road and mountain biking, great social scene, nice fitness facilities and the golf and tennis are fantastic.
