the city of taft is located in southern California,a small community yet just 20 minutes from a large and thriving city "bakersfield" over 300000 people .amazingly you can completely forget about the big city and go back into time by visiting Taft !! and as far as locations go you could not ask for a better place to live !the beach is takes just a little over an hour away. several mountain ranges can be reached within an hour in any direction as well as several lakes .los Angeles is very accessible as well ,close enough to go shopping on the weekends
