Review of Hollist,

"Stepford"
Star Rating - 1/7/2008
Holliston is a "nice" town -- very safe, very quiet, good schools, very small. Those are its plusses. In eleven years, I have also found it to be so "nice" that it is far-removed from reality -- it is very expensive, very homogeneous (which definitely plays a role in its "good" schools), almost exclusively single-family two parent homes, with very little to offer and very unfriendly residents if you do not fit the 50's mould. Completely run by volunteer organizations that are inbred and composed almost entirely of stay-at-home moms. Way better options can be found for the same price that offer things to do, public transportation, diversity, and friendly people. For some it is a great fit -- I can't wait to get my family out!
