Review of Yeadon, Pennsylvania

It's okay
Star Rating - 5/21/2009
This is my humble and honest opinion of Yeadon, PA. I live in Yeadon, PA, however it is NOT MY INTENTION to remain here forever. Actually, I'm trying to decide whether or not I want to remain up North. However, if I do decide to stay in the Keystone State, I'll definitely move to Springfield, or Morton, PA. Those two towns have lower property taxes. Yeadon is conveniently located right near Philadelphia. In a car, you can be in Philly within 5 minutes. Yeadon is not far from Delaware or New Jersey. Nevertheless, I do not feel as though Yeadon Borough is suitable for me. Others, my enjoy living out their lives here, yet I know for a FACT I will not.

Yeadon is a small town, with a few take-out restaurants, gas stations, a handful of businesses. Most people have to commute to get to work. I will admit that there is excellent transportation (SEPTA) that runs throughout the town. Buses, a trolley, and a train passes through this town. Most of the houses and apartment complexes in the town are EXTREMELY old. You will not find one contemporary looking home in this town.

Entertainment? You definitely have to go to another town or travel into Philly to search for something to do. I've been to the public library, but I'm not impressed with it.

The William Penn School District is so-so. It's not the best school district in Delaware County, yet it's not the worst, either.

So, there you have it...
