That will be a nice change. You really cannot beat the weather. Personally, I would choose Debary over Deltona, simply for the property value aspect. The population in Deltona is growing much more quickly than in many areas around here. It is not considered a retirement community any longer. There are a large percent of families that have cropped up over the last 20 years. Home prices are lower in Deltona, but unless you stay near i4 you could have quite a trek to get to anywhere. My wife and I ARE moving to Florida sometime in the next 3-4 years. We have a married daughter in Orlando (they will be moving nearer to Matiland) and a son in Sarasota. My wife will be retired and I will be working from home. so traffic is not an issue. We want to live somewhere near the Maitland area (25 miles or less) and have a good aray of restaurant choices with in a relatively short proximity (5-15) miles. We have a real estate agent sending us properties from Lake Mary, Winter Park & Springs, Altamonte Springs but it seems homes are newer, nicer and less expensive in the Deltona area. We are looking for ranch style, open concept, contemporary design (feel) with a pool. Is this all possible there?
