"Affordable Housing" in Telluride
Star Rating - 12/27/2009
Affordable housing means something different in Telluride than most other places in the country. Here the Town subsidizes housing down to be affordable for purchase by residents who make 80% to 120% of median income. Median is around $70,000 for two people. The Town subsidized rental housing rents for $1,000 for 2 bedrooms. A 25'x100' lot on Main Street sells for over $1,000,000.
