Review of Frederick, Oklahoma

Job outlook
Star Rating - 8/22/2008
City jobs are being reduced in number. I have lived here 5 years and have seen no new businesses emerge. There is only one major employer and it is a factory where employees work 7 days a week, 12 hours a day. The City of Frederick owns the water and electric utilities and charge a much larger rate than other cities in Oklahoma. The housing is much cheaper than the National average, but most of the homes are run down and employment is hard to find. The wages earned are not much above Federal minimun wage.
