Review of Edina, Minnesota

Schools and weather
Star Rating - 12/14/2007
Have one child in elementary school - unbelievable standards and available programs. They do have French immersion starting in Kindergarten - seems totally useless to go through all that trouble just to learn a disappearing language (wow, you can order off of the menu without help!) - but the intellectual supersnobs seem to like it. Don't get me wrong though- the school system is absolutely spectacular. I hate winter. Others here seem to like it ("I wish it would snow" - I am like, "WHAT?!"). I think it gets too cold here to enjoy winter activities - too cold to skate, sled, can't build a snowman cause the snow doesn't pack. I feel forced indoors, which with little kids can drive up your blood pressure.

The French will be disappointed to learn their language will soon be extinct. Maybe someone should tell them that.
